i've mentioned several times about my love for the 99cents store. tonight, i went on a mission with my aunt - she wanted to find little terra cotta pots, so i offered to drive. we went to three 99cents stores, and they failed her miserably. i, however, managed to walk away $27.58 poorer, but with lots of goodies to show for it.
if you don't mind, i'd like to list them, in approximate order of awesomeness.
1. a cactus shaped like a penis with two tiny balls (below, pictured)
2. a ceramic flamingo figurine. i'm going to keep it there on my nightstand until after xmas
3. green glass ornaments for my abnormally-proportioned xmas tree (that's actually a cypress bush with lights on it)
4. something for rachel (she'll love it, i KNOW)
5. a large bottle of peppermint schnapps
6. those party poppers (no, not e), where you pull the string and it goes POOF and confetti pops out the butt
7. really nice scissors (better than my beat-up fiskars)
8. new gloves for gardening
9. bobby pins so i don't have to steal rachel's
10. smoked salmon in a pouch (it looked interesting)
11. a new broom b/c my old one broke in half from too much rigorous sweeping
12. kleenex! (the actual kleenex brand too, not "facial tissue")
13. chocolate covered raisins.. mmm
14. broccoli
15. milk
16. a couple sets of gift boxes (4 for a dollar.. how cheap)
17. several gift bags & tissue paper
18. a dozen eggs
19. pot pies were 2 for a dollar. i figured they wouldn't be selling them if they were indeed poisonous
20. teriyaki sauce
21. worcestershire sauce (spellcheck?) i'd look on the bottle, but i'm not even sure if they spelled it right
22. flour tortillas
23. scotch tape 2-pack.
and because i can rarely post an entry without a photograph...
i got the nightstand from ikea yesterday and assembled it last night.
today i was doing a walk-through of a vacant unit and took a chair.
