today was a good day. school went by fast.
sarah and i came home after school and watch part of along came polly..funny movie.
we played tuscola tonight and lost 6-0, but that's okay. we've got a ways to go.
but oh goodness, it's hard for me to play a whole team of girls who i know.

tomorrow after school i'm going to the tennis match, tuscola vs. NB, to see phillip, hunter, and silly others whom i miss very much. then after that, i'm going to the TC vc. Asheville girls soccer game at 6, and then i'm gonna try and go to the rock with sarah, craig, jonathan, ect. so it's going to be a fun-filled day.

i got another touching e-mail from my volleyball coach. i'm glad she influences religion on us.

Our regular season is over and as always it is time to reflect upon what we have accomplished. Have we met, fallen short, or exceeded our goals? Have we as a team and/or and individual improved our level of play and skill development. Has it been a good all round time together as a team and as a player-coach?
Here is what we think. It has been a good year. Actually one of our best in club ball. We did not always put forth our best effort and the results showed this. I am thinking of the Club South Scrimmage. But, look at what we accomplished 2 weeks later at the Southern Classic, the “Gold”. As individuals, I believe you have each grown as players in knowledge of the game and in your skills. Not to say, you do not have a ways to go, but much improved.
Most importantly, I saw a group of young women pull together, put selfishness aside (most of the time) and play at a much higher level than anyone thought. Know that it was because you did it as a team and only as a team. Everyone did not sacrifice equally, but everyone did sacrifice. This is what team sports, marriage, parenting, and life is all about. Creating relationships that will help you accomplish big things in life.
Of course the most important one being that relationship with your Savior, Jesus Christ. He should always be the Captain of your team. He will always be there to help carry your load when you are weak. Read on…

An old story tells of a contest to see who was the greatest musician. Many came one by one and played their instruments without being declared the greatest. Then some friends who played several different instruments came. None of them wanted to be considered better than their friends, so they all played at the same time. They listened for one another’s music and made their own music blend in. They treated one another as if their friends were the greatest musicians. For the first time the world hear harmony, the melodious sum of many instruments playing together, each one adding fullness and beauty to the music.
Each of us has been given spiritual gifts from God. When we treat one another well and have the same minds toward one another, we are able to blend these gifts together to bring grace and beauty to the world around us.

I imagine it was like this when the first team sport was invented, maybe the first Olympics.

Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in you own conceits.

Enjoy your friends and teammates. Life is short and this is one brief season.

See you soon.

Mrs. Ramsey

i freaking love you girls, and i hope each one of you knows that.
