Good day yesterday!
Yesterday I got up early... around 5:30 am, because I couldn't sleep.
D left around 8:30 am to go paint his friends' houses.
I cleaned. All DAY!
I finished up the rest of the laundry that's been collecting for two weeks. Scooped the cat box. I emptied out the dining room, took down the buffet table that has been our dining room table for over a year. I moved the patio table and chairs out to the porch. I put away all the sewing stuff. I swept, mopped and did windows in the dining room. I moved the furniture in the living room and vacuumed the whole room. I did up the dishes, wiped down all the counter tops, moved the fridge, swept (13 cat toys and a nuk behind the fridge from the former tenants!) I mopped the kitchen. Made dinner for my Mom and Step Dad. Mom and Charlie showed up and Mom and I went to get my "new" dining room table and chairs. Came home, set it up, had dinner on my favorite antique dishes.
Mom helped with dishes before they headed out again.
It was sort of nice having the whole day to myself... but I missed D too. He was out until midnight.
I woke up early again this morning... 8 am this time. Made coffee, put away clean dishes, got the paper out of the lawn and read it. Read some of my book. Re-arranged some things in the living room, dusted a little. Opened windows. Showered.
D's finally up now, and there are some things I need him to do. Like move the buffet table to the basement. It's heavy. I could probably do it myself, but I've fallen down those stairs once and I don't care to do it again.
I should probably take the folding chairs down there too.
There's probably another load of laundry in the bedroom and I should put all the folded clothes away. The bathrooms both need a good scrubbing and there are plenty of organizational and yard things that could be done. The sun is shining.
We'll see how much I actually get done today, but I'm really proud of how much I got done yesterday!
