Frosty plumbing
No, I'm not talking about a personal issue.
Frozen pipes in the ground level bathroom this morning. Probably would never have known about it if Rae hadn't stayed over...
Thank goodness.
I've had 3 people on my team have their pipes burst in the past week... not a good thing.
Got the spaceheater in the bath and warmed it up until the water was flowing, then put insulation foam covers on the pipes under the sink. Leaving the water drip until this ungodly cold passes.
I mean, geez, I'm a Minnesotan and from some pretty hearty stock, I have plenty of meat on my bones, but dammit I'm sick of being frozen to the core and unable to get warm. I haven't gone without a pair of socks in weeks... and those of you who know me, know that's just night right. I'm living under the electric throw blanket my mom got me for Xmas, plus several other blankets, flannel pj's, a sweater, fuzzy socks and sometimes even mittens. And THATS when we have the heat turned UP.
With that said, I'm heading to the warmest room in our house: the bedroom. Where I'm going to climb under the blankets and watch some back episodes of House before I wrap my down throw around my head and go to sleep.
