Blech

Really must start giving a crap about my course. Hospital not proving the white-knuckle ride of fun I had anticipated. Everything's rather vague as to what we're meant to be doing & how much we're meant to be learning & to what extent. I have a timetable of sorts, but no-one notes my absence or attendence, and given my consultant has not yet bothered his arse to meet me yet, he wouldn't have the chance to  miss me regardless. My co-workers have now stiffed me twice so I have yet to see a surgery (on a surgical ward, non v.great), so am a tad miffed at the life of them. Harrumph.

In GP placement tomorrow....12 hour days if it goes like everyone else's has. Meh, unarsed - I'm hoping I might actually pick up some actual knowledge.

We also have to do this daft "portfolio" thingy, where we write Dear Diary pieces on our experiences on t'wards & what we've learned & not learned & how we plan to proceed from here on in - in short, guff. Is now part of qualification process & is pretty much the most heavy piece of written work we have to do.

Fleh, otherwise life ticks along nicely, finding myself bored stupid most of the time, hence munching, but it will get better am sure - am just resenting having to fight for my education. Like I say, so far the flat has been fun.

Coupla parties coming up at the weekend, cheap fun = we like it! Looking forward to Sarah's one, hopefully will be prove doom-vanquishing.
