It's been an interesting week so far, as I head into Friday with a bit of Dylan playing on my Spotify.
Not least of which my adventures this week included getting stuck in Banbridge with a dead car battery, getting a chippy in Dromore and eating peanut butter mnms which are overpriced but so worth it, finding a beautiful new purse from the Vans store for 4 quid, working six days in a row with one day's break then back into another 5 days of work, and heading to a Zombie Disco. Not much to say on the zombie disco asides from the fact it was definitely the worst four pounds I have ever paid for anything.
And I've paid credit card debt.
I keep starting these entries and never having time to finish them or I end up falling asleep, so I'll keep this one short and sweet considering my laptop is about to die from lack of charged battery too.. what fun.
University starts back up in less than a month, Carrie will be home soon, as will Catrina, and Ross is heading off to Tokyo for two weeks of banterous antics. Gateway starts back on Saturday and that reminds me that I still have to drop off the traffic cone at Julie Pollock's and enjoy watching her get enraged again! That's a long story...
I work, I read, I walk, I dance, I sing, I am not a product of Apple, but I do live, and life is pretty normal again. I am still jealous of the girl who replaced me on BEI, but I've come to terms with the fact that my year is over and I should move on and let someone else have as amazing a year as I did. I need to focus on making the rest of my life as amazing as 2009-2010 has been. I keep wondering about how things will turn out - graduation, debt, looking for a Master's course, job hunting, moving out, settling down, or not settling down, travelling, making the most of every short moment..
Cemetery Junction was a particularly good movie. I think once debt has left my door for good, I would love to be able to just pack a bag, go to the airport, pick a destination and go there. Pull a Yes man. I miss writing for the Carroll News, but I'm not going to give up on my journalistic ambitions. The love of writing is in my blood.
Coincidentally I just re-read Animal Farm and I am tempted to start a revolution against Julie at Gateway (Napoleon the pig). I do hate others telling me what to do. I guess livejournal will hear about the outcome of this so-called resistance movement.
Anyway, this post was longer than I originally intended and it is now 1 am in the lovely wee town of Carrickfergus. The moon also looks amazing tonight, maybe I'll sit and watch it before my eyelids shut and I fall asleep before a doomed day of work from 4-11 tomorrow.
Stay classy, San Diego.
