i just sold a cell phone to the saddest person on the planet. whenever life gets you down think of this poor guy...
he came in the store three times, each time with more money cause he never had enough... at first he struck me as weird cause he really wanted two phones, and would not wait until another time like i was suggesting(i felt bad selling himsomething cause i got the impression that he couldnt afford it.)
he kept saying it was for his wife...and he left it at that. it took a while to activate his phone(sprint is a pain in the ass) so we started talking. here is why his like has sucked for the last three months.
1-him and his wife are getting divorced after ten years, she kicked him out on christmas eve, they have three kids.
2-his now ex wife is dating his best friend since childhood, whom he is currently living with.
3-he is a pacifist so he will not kick his friends ass like he should
4-he was laid off of his factory job that he had 12 years(payin $14 an hour) for breaking his hand... he now works at cvs for $9.50 an hour.
5-tried commiting suicide 3 times in the last two months, not being able to follow through because of the thought of his kids.
6- she is sueing him for full custody
i come to find out that his cell phone was under her name and she shut it off so he needed a new one obviously, but what really broke my heart was that fact that he wanted two phones cause he wanted his kids to have one so they could call him at anytime.(the whole time he was telling me the story he was teary eyed, at this point he lost it)
i dont know if what he told me was true, it kinda seems too bad to be true, but i believe it just cause of his body language... i dunno it really made me sad. and too top it all off, his phones didnt activate the right way so he has to wait two hours(FUCK YOU SPRINT!)
