still keeping the faith.

I think it's kinda weird how i don't even think about posting in this untill its been like 4 months since my last entry... weird.

well, im still doing really good. Things are kind of slow in the shop right now because our only big job built their foundation wrong and they have to wait on the cabinets, so im kinda not liking not working, because it makes me feel like a bum.

We're having a preaching festival on like april 13-15 and they actually asked me to do a back to back sermon with my sisters husband Jonathan. I'm pretty excited about it, because the last time i preached a sermon with jonathan it actually turned out really good. I didnt have a chance to go over my notes with him, and they ended up lining up perfectly. It was kind of a confirmation to me that the LORD really is working amongst us in the fellowship. Since i posted last, I've been doing communion meditations almost weekly, had the chance to teach several youth meetings and preach a few short sermons. I am especially excited also, because i have an opportunity to speak at the Refreshing Waters Renewal this year. The topic is going to be 'what jesus is doing now' Which is indeed quite a large topic. It is also something that not alot of people in the christian community are talking about. Almost probably ninety percent of christian radio or publication that i have heard or read falls gravely short when it comes to this. Most of the time you're lucky to even hear anything about Jesus, and if you do they talk about what jesus did in the past. I hear less about what jesus is going to do in the future and even less about what jesus is doing now. Both of these things are entirely important, because what Jesus did on the cross and in his resurrection is of no significance whatsoever without the consideration of his present intercession and his second coming. Jesus, died on the cross was 'made sin' for us, and 'paid for the iniquities of us all' , and then three days later rose from the dead, and ten days later ascended into heaven. But this is not the end of the story. Upon his arrival in heaven, Jesus became the 'Mediator of the new covenant'. Christs position in glory 'at the right hand of the father' is definetely not an inactive position. Now the spirit has descended, ('the comforter' has come), and the new covenant has come to pass, those who are in christ's sins have been taken away, they have been reconciled to god, But this is not the entire picture. They are still residing in mortal bodies in a natural realm. The devil is still walking about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, so we are going to need some resources to maintain a godly posture in this present evil world! Make no mistake, the believer CANNOT prevent their carnal nature from overtaking them outside of the constant provision of the Lord. Christ's position in heaven is one of a mediator. One to provide what is required for the believer to pass through the fiery trials of this world, and on into Glory. Anyways, theres just a few of my many thoughts on what i perceive to be a very important topic.

alright.. i'm going to resume this entry tomorrow because its too late...and im about to pass out.
