I'm reading "The Rules of Attraction" and I'm not enjoying it. I never saw the film, and I find his writing style rather juvenille. I understand that a juvenille vibe is something that he's trying to achieve. A social commentary on disenchanted youth. A look at the loss of love as a tangible, rather than conceptual, entity. An examination of the liberal college and its noticeably absent moral compass. I just can't dig it.
In other news, my mother kissed a man last night. A man who is not her husband. Eighteen years of faithfulness, gone.
....Maybe this is why my stomach churns with each page.
