I logged onto the UCSB website today to find out what my tuition would be for spring. Even though class doesn't start til April 2nd, I have to pay up by March 15th (grumble). So, I scan my bill and glance at the total.
And nearly shit myself.
8,999.68
That's not a bill. That's almost a phone number.
And then I read the charge details. Non-res tuit. Non-res fees.
Whew! So I just have to establish legal residency again, and it'll be better (read: still expensive). But seriously, out-of-state people pay $27,000 a year in tuition? That sucks. I also finally logged into my university mail account again. 311 unread messages. But still only 21% of my allotted space. Boy I love those updates from Hillel.
