I'm alive

Jan 19, 2007 23:07

and so I am.

Over Christmas I spent some rather uneventful time in the hospital, but I haven't felt great since I got out.  Hence the silence.

Here's what I did before and after:

I finished knitting the sweater that was just a strip in the last post.

All those scraggly ends have been woven in.  Once I sew on the buttons I'll post a better picture.

Elise and I went to the Magritte exhibit at LACMA.  It was amazing, and I'm planning on going back and taking more evil, copyright-breaking photographs.

The carpet was a Magritte-like sky, and the ceiling was covered in pictures of L.A. freeways.

Outside of LACMA.  This sky seemed very appropriate.

Somewhere along the line there was Hannukah.

My parents got me not one, but two desk calendars.   I don't have a desk.  The thought is much appreciated though.

While I was in the hospital, I started and finished a sock, in record time no less.  There wasn't much else to do.

The boy scouts made fleece blankets for everyone in the hospital on Christmas, and that's what my foot is  on.

I also made another pair of socks before I went in.  I just like this picture.

And finally, pretty garden photos in the lovely winter light.

I hope everyone is happy and healthy and warm.
