I just read this short story for english by Jorge Luis Borges called The Circluar Ruins

It is really good story about a Shaman who is considered a fire God who dreams up another creation who becomes his son. In his old age a fire burns through his temple, he walks through it and as the fire consumes him- he realizes that he too, is merely an 'appearance' dreamnt by another.
