Bray wandered round the market, there was a lot of interesting discussion going on. Some things he could use perhaps.
He'd made a decision who to approach first, most of the other tribes seemed weak or of little consequence, but the Mozzie's seemed quite high up on the food chain, and he didn't really want to find the remnants of the Techno's, they were better off remnants.
Kay was in the marketplace. Moz had been gone when she'd woken up, and Riz hadn't had any idea where to - or so she claimed. Kay wasn't entirely convinced of that, but wasn't in the mood to argue the point. She was bored, and so she'd headed out to the marketplace. After trading for some food, she turned to see none other than Bray wandering about. Never one to think things through, Kay came up behind him. "Well, what have we here? If it's none other than the Great Mallrat Leader - returned from the dead. When did you get back in town?"
Bray spun round, almost ready to kill, but he controlled his temper.
Instead he smiled. "Oh you don't know how much I've returned," he said beneath is breath. Outwardly he said, "Ah! You'll do fine," he said grinning. "Now where's your faithless leader?"
Kay paused. Was it her or was he talking weird? She looked up at him with a frown. "What do you want with Moz? She's very busy, you know. You'd think you'd be busy too. I heard your Mall got shot at two nights ago." That probably wasn't the best thing to say, but Kay never knew when to shut up.
"I don't care if she's busy. And I don't feel the need to explain myself to you," he bit off what else he was going to say, lest he say to much to such an underling.
"What happened at the mall is of little concern to me," in truth he'd not heard anything about it. He'd have to see to that, people needed to report these thigs to him.
What was up with Bray? This wasn't the same guy they'd tossed outside the city limits, that was for sure. Kay glared and stood straighter, it didn't help much since she was so much shorter than him. "What happens at the Mall doesn't matter to you? If you can't even care about your own place, what good are you to anhyone else? I ain't taking you to Moz. She doesn't see just anyone. And by the sounds of things you're NO ONE now-a-days, Bray."
Bray's arm shot out and grabbed her shoulder, he squeezed. "A no one am I? You don't know the half of it, little girl."
He pulled her close, "You think your powerful don't you," he looked into her eyes, "You think you have power over me," he paused for a second but didn't give her chance to answer before he laughed.
"Now little girl take me to your little leader, now."
Kay gasped as Bray grabbed her shoulder painfully. She swallowed, looking up at him as he talked with wide eyes. What was going on here? "I...I don't know where Moz is. She wasn't at HQ when I left." She admitted. "She might be back." She regained her wits slowly. She couldn't take Bray on alone, not when he was like this especially. But maybe with the other Mozzies? "I...could take you to HQ." She suggested.
Bray considered it for a second, if she wasn't there, there wouldn't be much to gain dealing with her underlings, and his plans were far too important to waste time. On the other hand, he could take the opportunity to learn the full situation with the Mozzie's, gain some ground for an alliance. And useful information to bring them down when he chose to.
Kay gave him a strange look. "You know the way." She reminded him, not sure to trust him behind her. He and the two other Mallrats had come bursting in when he'd thought they'd kidnapped Amber. Of course, he probably didn't trust her behind him. She slowly started forward, hoping the other Mozzies hadn't run off somewhere. "Well, come on if you're coming. Let's not just stand around here."
[OOC - did you want to move this over to my journal or just leave it under the Market Place post?]
Bray set off following, "Yeah I know the way, but I've no intention of letting you run off and having to go into your rat hole alone. At least with you with me, I'm not likely to be mistaken for an intruder. Besides, I like you better where I can see you."
"So, what's your Tribe been upto? Anything of interest, or the usual little games?" he asked, knowing full well that wouldn't get far, but at least it got things rolling.
[OOC we can take it in your journal since that's where we're heading game wise]
