title: Harlequin - in both senses / Brian Lane is a medium.
fandom: Brand New (with some John Nolan thrown in)
pairing: Jesse/Brian, minor John/Brian, possible Jesse/John
rating: R (fuck, fuck, fuckity fuck.)
synopsis: "Brian has a secret-he's a medium, dedicated to helping spirits cross to the other side. Unfortunately, he's been so busy, he hasn't taken care of his own earthly needs. And it's been a long, long time. So when he meets recently deceased, but oh-so-sexy, Jesse Lacey, he's more than ready for a fling. Even if it is with a ghost! Jesse is no stranger to the pleasures of a man's body, and his death hasn't changed that. But he's never wanted anyone the way he wants Brian. So he's refusing to leave this world until he makes love to him. And if he has to break all the laws of heaven and earth to do it, he will. Again and again and again..."
author's note: Synopsis came from the back of a Harlequin Romance novel Sheesha (vixull) found in a library, though she changed the names and a few other things. She basically forced me to write this so blame her but not in an evil or malicious way because she's lovely. Dedicated to her, of course.
CRACK WARNING. AND, OF COURSE, IT'S AN AU.
word count: 2200w approx.

(Brian Lane is a medium and, no, I'm not about to continue this sentence with '-build drummer who plays with the band Brand New'. Brian Lane is a medium-noun not adjective-he communicates with the dead.)
