Gijon, finally! PTI
After Mares Vivas we found our way to somebody's house ( a friend of a girl that joined us, yep) and we all slept on the floor in her livingroom, for uh, yeh a couple of hours. Or better said, trying to. Snoring people around you (hihi) and a dog who either wants to lick any random bodypart that's sticking from underneath the covers or sleeping on your legs, it's kinda hard to fall asleep. BUT am not complaining! We initially wanted to leave at noon, but since we were all awake around 9, we left at 11, dropping off some people back at the festival (where they'd left their car) and then we went on, back to Spain! I gotta say, Spain is BEAUTIFUL! Lovely country.
Porto-Gijon would be about a 5 hours drive and with some stops along the way, we go to the venue at 18.30. We arrived at the back, cause Sarah was gonna arrange her stuff, so I got my stuff and was on my way to walk to the front where I'd meet up with somebody when I noticed the busses were just parked where we had pulled over. So I went to the fence (partially brick wall) and stood on my tip-toes to watch over it to see if something was going on at the busses. You never know... and yes, there was somebody sitting down, playing guitar.. wearing a hat and flip flops.. First I thought it was Stevie, but this person had black hair...
Then it hit me. It was BRIAN!
So I go a bit closer, to look over the wall again, and say hi to him. He looks up, smiles and says hey back. ^_^ God he's such a cutie!! I talked to him for a bit, but I was too shocked, so didn't realy know what to say, but told him to have fun at the gig and stuff and then we said bye. <3 I walked to the front with a HUGE grin on my face hahah!
I saw the girl I'd meet up with right away, and we sat down on a bench to chat for a bit. It was just 19.00 and there were only about 20 people around, queue-ing from two sides. We decided to go to the hotel for a bit so I could put my stuff there, and change into other clothes. Our hotel was AMAZINGLY fancy woah!! Anyway, I changed quickly, and we got back at the venue around 20.00. A bunch of people had gathered at the front now, about 100 people in total. So I freaked out a little about getting first row. But I just went to stand with some people at the queue that looked the shortest and went up to where the barriers started and talked to some folks there.. and stayed were I stood lol. Nobody said anything and about 20 min later the doors opened!
I made my way inside (girl I met up with would probably either get a photo-pass or just go in later) and I got at the front, noticing a little spot in between 2 couples.(who came separately) I asked one of the couples nicely if there was just enough space for me to squeeze in and they said "yeh sure." hahah wow! :D
I don't know exactly when it was but before,during and/or after the support band, I could see several, well, basically all band members walking around backstage. Sometimes just feet, or legs. I'd play a little game, geussing who it was.. just from their flip-flops. hahah I was right every time. ^_^ Gotta admit, when I'd see Nick('s feet) I'd moan. Out loud. Yes.
The supportband didn't do much for me.. bit too loud. After them I just watched the crew set up Placebo's set, it's always amusing. Just before Placebo came on Sarah came over to me for a chat and I let her feel my hands, explaining that I always get so excited that my hands and feet just get ice cold. Until the second they enter the stage haha. Then all of a sudden the intro started, and Sarah quickly got her spot at the stage, to make good pics of the band (I asked her to try and take good pictures of Nick hehe)
They were all dressed in white, Bill in his suit again, but not his bowler hat this time haha! He looks so hilarious in the suit! And he's the only one who wears white shoes, to match with his outfit haha. Nick wore his beatle shoes, such a turn on.
