First Entry Of The Year!
Hey Ladies & Guys!!!
Hope everybody is having a fab 2007 so far! =)
Well I have a few bits & pieces to update on...so thought it was about time I got on here and posted!
New Year
I had a lovely New Year....although it was pretty different!
Martin, My sister, my mum, my dad and me all went to the cinema on New Years Eve to watch "Night At The Museum" which was pretty good...then we had an Indian Banquet takeout at home...which was delish!
We watched the fireworks outside at midnight, and then Martin & I headed off to Emma & Joey's house party! We had some drinks, Emma & I downloaded old music all night and sang until our throats hurt!! We danced a little, chatted...it was good! The party didn`t end until 6 am, so we ended up just staying over...basically, we grabbed a few hours sleep from 7 am - 10.30 am! hehe!
It was cool that we stayed over coz it meant I got to see baby Olivia when we got up in the morning! She's sooooooooooo cute!
Martin & I went back to sleep when we got home, then in the afternoon we had my aunt & uncle, and my nan over for dinner...my mum cooked a lovely 3 course meal, and we played Buzz music quiz afterwards...
Then Martin and I went to the cinema...we watched "The Holiday"...OMG I LOVED IT!!! Who else here has seen it?! I HIGHLY recommend it! It might be my new favourite ever film!!
Martin's Job
Martin went home on the 2nd Jan, which sucked...but he had to work, so it couldn`t be helped.
He started the job 6 weeks ago...he was taken on to be trained up part-time and told there would be a full time job in January for him. Well he was rush-trained in 4 weeks, and then had to cover his bosses holiday over the christmas period...which he did. He ran the office totally alone for two weeks, after just 4 weeks training...And made one mistake. He didn`t divert the calls correctly so he missed the calls on the morning of the 2nd Jan when he was travelling back...
He got into the office at 1.30 pm, and returned all the calls he'd missed and had everything sorted out by the end of the day.
The next day his boss got back from her holiday...and sacked him for that one mistake!!!!!!!!!
HOW bad is that?!!! We think there was never a job there...the girl who did the job before Martin left to have a baby, and theres like NOTHING going on there to be done at this time of year apparently...It looks like the girl is just on maternity leave and she just needed her holiday covered to me =-/
So he still has his Blockbuster job for now, and is trying to get a new one sorted ASAP =-/ I`m worried how much it`ll put us back with the move though
My Job
And bad timing much...I quit my job two days before Martin got fired!! ARGH! So now I`m sitting around jobless while I wait to move...=-/
Moving
We're having house viewings on the 16th and 17th of Jan...I`ve found 8 apartments and houses in Exeter that sound good, one in Starcross that I LOVE and one really nice one in Totnes!! I`m going to post up more about them tomorrow! =D
More Xmas Pressies!
I've had more Christmas pressies this week! I got a GORGEOUS Tinkerbell "Naughty/Nice" reverse journal and a super cute little "Princess In Training" pink teddy wearing a tiara from Lisa! I LOVED it! I`d seen that Tink journal on the Hot Topic website months ago and sooooooo wanted it!!! =D
I also got a lovely gift from Hayley R..."How to make an American Quilt" on dvd, a cute Hello Kitty notebook and super cute little pack of Hello Kitty mini gum!! Yay!! =D
And I got "My Life Without Me" dvd and stickers from Becki!! Yay!!! =D
TV
Hasn`t the TV been ace lately?! Just bugs me how they put too much good reality TV on at the same time! I started watching Just Two Of Us but now i`ve had to dump it in favour of Soapstar Superstar hehe!
I've been watching Celeb Big Brother religiously...I love Jo & H so far! And Jade is funny, hehe!
I`m sooo pleased Desperate Housewives is back on too...looks like its going to be much better than last season! YAY!
And did anybody watch "Ugly Betty" tonight? Looks like its going to be a really good series! Very "Devil Wears Prada-esque"!! =D
Does anybody know when The OC comes back on? I`ve seen the "Coming soon" ads but no date...I must admit though, I don`t like the look of the ads. If they skip ahead months from the last series and you don`t get to see anybodys initial reactions to Marissa's death I will NOT be happy!!! Infact I`ll stop watching =D
January Sales
Has anybody hit the sales and grabbed any bargains yet?! i`ve been quite good as I still have £55 christmas money left! But I`m thinking of buying either a portable DVD player or digi cam with it...to have something worthwhile to show for my money! Coz otherwise, I tend to buy little silly things!
So far I`ve bought: Jason Donovan Greatest Hits CD (LOVES IT!), Take That & Party cd...was soooo thrilled to find that!!!, "The Lakehouse" dvd, "Steel Magnolias" dvd, "Corinna, Corinna" dvd, an Olivia Goldsmith book, a Dean Koontz book, some new gel pens, a Parker pen, Lisa Jayne greeting card book...so I`ll never forget a birthday this year!!!, Hello Kitty sweet cherries letter set, box of 300 Tinkerbell stickers, Ickle Ted folder to keep my letters in, Eeyore mug and Hello Kitty stickers. Yay!
My mum bought me a SUPER cute Classic Winnie The Pooh pink letterset in a cute pink Piglet box today, and a realllly cool American Breakfast Pancake kit with a batter dispenser, heart shape maker and pancake griddle in!!! How cool?! I LOVE Breakfast pancakes! hehe!

New Year
