Fast Forward

May 15, 2009 11:50

For the past few months I feel like someone has pressed the fast forward button on my life and it's not been bad I've just been busy busy busy and everything has zoomed past me. I have been forced to slow down to absolute stop this week because the cold that has been threatening to batter me for a few weeks has finally taken a stranglehold and it is driving me crazy. I have an Open University essay due in today which I haven't finished so I'm going to have to ask for an extension and I'm going to have to build up loads of flexi in three days next week to make up for the stuff I missed this week.

BUT, on Tuesday Andy and I will have been married for three years and I am (hopefully) having a party tomorrow to celebrate and we will have a pizza-off to see which of us can make the best pizza and then this time next week I will be on holiday for two and a bit weeks and I'm going to Brussels, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona (for Primavera yay) and Ibiza. I can't wait but this cold better get lost before then.

Things I have been doing recently:

-Failing to listen to the Eight and Lucie audio new series - I like to leave them for a walk to work but I think I might listen to the whole of Scapegoat today -I wasn't as keen on Wirrn Dawn as I had been on the earlier episodes it felt a bit flat to me, no matter how much I love Lucie.

- I am in love with Ashes to Ashes, it just keeps getting better and better this series, it's the only thing I care about watching on tv at the moment and it's funny and manages to suprirse me a bit each episode too.

-I have new hair. Still blonde but now Louise Brookes-esque bob. On the whole I like it but it is probably the most high maintenence haircut I've ever had, weirdly.

-I went to see Girls Aloud and it was brilliant and very very strange. I have been going to gigs since I was little but I have never been to a big pop gig before and it was quite odd  to be on the floor and have seats that no-one sat in but made it hard to dance  but they looked amazing and the tunes were brilliant and me and Gemma got drunk and danced like crazy anyway.

-I went to see Star Trek and I wasn't expecting all that much but it was amazing, I would actually go and see it again.

-Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal is my new favourite song...that is all.

dr who, big finish, married, eight, ashes to ashes, music, girls aloud, cut your hair, mr lori, i love lucie, film:star trek
