i decided it was high time to write about frank's party and the first day of classes. yaaaay...
the party was fun, there were some uh, not-so-pleasant aspects about it but overall it was a great way to start the school year. that korean bbq was fucking GOOD. i ate what i think was about an entire cow. all i had was meat. and stuff to drink. it was great. muahaha.
heres a fun picture! that's me, connie, ryan and my <3matt<3
okay and now about school. the major dissapointment of the day was that wasson is NOT teaching the section of Sociology 120 that char and i enrolled in. it's dr. price. i'm sorry, it's just not the same. therefore i have full intentions of dropping that class and in its place taking Political Science 150 or some other lousy GE. this is ridiculous! wasson is now only teaching one section because of the budget cuts, and that just blows. the "Intimate Relationships" course is nothing without wasson. ugh. i'm really not down with that.
anyway, my day was actually great besides this horrendous letdown. my Art 150 class (PAINTING) is amazing. i'm going to enjoy it a LOT. from 1:30 to 4 twice a week i get to retreat to my haven. ebner is awesome, the class is going to be all oil paints because he thinks that acrylics are for babies. so this is real painting. hallelujah! acrylics can be fun i guess, but i hate the plastic-y finish. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS CLASS YOU HAVE NO IDEA. it's not bullshitted and academized (is this a word?). no papers, no writing, no crap. just painting. just three paintings we have to complete in the place of midterms and a final. amen! and no textbooks. hell no. i just have to spend about 100 bucks on art supplies, and that makes my day. no bullshit, thats amazing. this is so real. i love it.
so, thats the story about classes. let's talk about how fucking AMAZING i am at pool. you heard right. you know why? it's because POOLHALL JUNKIES inspired my pool talent. i am now an official pool shark. i am going to get a cue, just like pablo and jesse. that's right. when i came back from art noone was in the EEP room so i went down to the pit. rene and some others were playing DDR but i went over to pablo and jesse who were playing some pool. once i joined in on the action, i fucking rocked the house. i mean, jesse and pablo were impressed. i was both impressed and surprised too! when i was younger i was rather decent at pool, but i think recently i have really sucked. and after seeing this movie, all my skill just WOOSHED out. i was on my effing CELLPHONE and i made a shot that bounced agaisnt the opposite wall and came back to sink into the hole in front of me. i was just playing around, i had no expectations or intent to actually make the shot. i also made one of those behind-the-back-because-you-can't-reach-it-otherwise shots. it was like out of a dream. which reminds me, because the night i saw POOLHALL JUNKIES i had a dream about how fucking good i was and how it was such a smackdown on everyone. i could give you the play by play details of my pool games, but i think you'd just fall out of your chairs out of pure shock and amazement. the greatest part is that i'm not exaggerating all that much. GO ME ! i am also moving the pool table into my room. it's not a full size one because as of now we don't have room for one. but after the remodel we're putting a real, big one in the den. yaaaay. for now, i guess something is better than nothing and my room is too cool now. oh yeah, and i'm going to order some new balls too. !!!
pool is the new excitement of my life. and i'm really enjoying my piano as of late. i'm happy for mee.
this was a ridiculously long entry. but aren't you glad to have an update on my life ;-).
