Well, work has picked up lately. I'm in charge of the translation of a new brochure for our bread-and-butter product, which is a great experience, but very stressful. The project manager stepped down/ was removed / disappeared, so no one is coordinating anymore, which is why we are late in delivering our translation (we weren't informed of the deadline...). Since this brochure will be around for up to 10 years, it's important to get it right.

My company is a few steps removed from the economic crisis. Rather than being blind-sided by the crisis train, we're tied to the tracks and are watching it speeding towards us. They're going to start making us reduce our hours, use up vacation and time bank balances (which the company is required by law to back with money in the bank, hence reducing them increases liquidity). We're closed the week before Easter, and Stefan is taking off that week too (things are even more serious at his company, which is on the front line) to reduce his hours. We'll be staycationing (I just learned this word yesterday, I think it's great!). It only took us about 5 minutes to come up with a page long list of things we've been meaning to do around the apartment, so this'll give us the opportunity to finally get it done.

I managed to irritate my right shoulder, which is very sensitive for some reason, by cleaning windows last weekend.  It must be tendonitis or busitis or something along those lines.  Point is, I can't lift my arm without serious pain.  I've been trying to give it a rest and using my left hand for everything, but that is waaay easier said than done.  Try double-clicking on something with your left hand.  Or brushing your teeth.  Or stirring a pot of irregularly shaped veggies on the stove.  The good news, though, is that my shoulder is getting better.  I'm still gonna try to rest it all this week though.
