These last few days have been pretty good. Monday I had a ton of work and made two appearances at conferences. The first time, I asked Mr. Conway for help with the math homework. The second time I went with my mom. It went well. I got good grades, and my teachers were nice. Tuesday went by so fast, especially for a full day of school. We played the garbage can game at youth group. I was so exhausted....Sandy lasted longer than I did. Good job ;) We learned that Jake is a traitor, lol. After school yesterday, I went to Subway with Sandy and Eddie :) Eddie bought us lunch...how nice! Then I came home and did a lot of stuff at home that I have not had time to do in a long time, like clean my room! And go through my mound of college information...how annoying. They need to stop sending me 8 copies of the same document. Today has been nice. My mom made the traditional dinner which I love <3. I have basically relaxed, and talked to my brother. I miss him especially on holidays surrounded around food. He'll be here next month though, so it's all good. Christmas is exactly one month away, and my birthday is even sooner. I'm pumped. Tomorrow is the stupid Santa Clause parade...actually, I'm sure the parade will be nice, but I don't see how Roseville fits in? Or why it is necessary for me to go and march in the freezing cold at 9:00 in the morning? Or why we are playing Styx in a Christmas parade? After that I'll basically be on my way to the box-a-thon. I am going to sit in a box for 24 hours to raise money for Speed The Light, which is basically a charity. I think it will be fun though, because we can connect our boxes together. At least I know I will have plenty of time to relax. In honor of Christmas approaching, this is definitely one of my favorite Chritmas songs....
There's a man
Who stands in the cold wind tonight
And he greets everyone passing by
With a smile and a ringing bell
And the song that he's playing
Is his own way of saying
"Love is here"
It's the music of Christmas
And there's a lady
Who sits all alone with her thoughts
And the memories of all that she's lost
When she hears a sound at her door
And the song comes to find her
As a gentle reminder
"Love is here"
It's the music of Christmas
So listen, listen with your heart
And you will hear a song
In the laughter of a child
Listen, for the sound of hope
You will hear the music of Christmas
For the music of Christmas is love
So light a fire
Tell the family to gather around
And the walls will echo the sound
Of memories that are and will be
And their voices like a chorus
Will sing it so sweetly for us
"Love is here"
It's the music of Christmas
Long ago
A baby was born in the night
And as He let out His very first cry
The sound was bringing hope alive
Stars were shining, angels singing
All heaven and earth was ringing
"Love is here!"
This is the music of Christmas
