An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

So... it's been a while and since my last post I had a couple health issues.

Because of my frequent heartburn issues, my GP thought I should get a gastroscopy, which I got done last week. I chose to do it without sedation, just the anesthetic to prevent the gag reflex. The whole procedure was unpleasant, but not too bad and didn't hurt. And it only took a few minutes, so that was good. The biopsy results came back this week and I have a gastritis. Whoo! It was too be expected and I'm already taking meds for that.

I also had my annual blood work check up, which was fine. Well, with the exception of slightly elevated uric acid. Already had that last year and so far it's nothing to be concerned about.

And this week, I noticed something weird about one of my teeth. Went to the dentist Wednesday morning and turns out I have an abscess, which formed under the filling. They removed the filling to open up the tooth. I have to take antibiotics for a week and then they're going to pull the tooth next week, because apparently the dentist can't do anything to save the tooth. Meh.

On a different note, thanks so much stellamira for the postcard! *hugs*
