My Highlander re-watch has come to an end! Woe! I watched the last episode on Sunday and it has been really great!
As expected the season 5 finale has been hard to watch! There was a point where I really just wanted to close my eyes and stick my fingers into my ears. But I didn't. I watched that scene and then immediately blocked it out of my mind. (Sort of.) Anyway, let's not dwell on that episode!
I must have blocked out a lot of season 6 from back when I watched it the first time, because some episodes weren't familiar at all. Or I really haven't seen them before. Could be.
Most of season 6 was boring anyway. Nothing much happened. And I really didn't know why Elizabeth Gracen and Peter Wingfield were both in the credits, but were only in 2 and 3 episodes. Weird that. And was the episode where no one of the main cast turned up (not even Duncan) supposed to be a pilot of some kind?
The episode that I really liked and was fun to watch was the Fitzcairn episode. Of course! I love Fitzcairn, he's awesome! :D
And I also liked the Joe/Methos episode. That was fun to watch as well.
The series finale was great to watch! Everyone was back, even Tessa! ♥♥♥ I loved the montage at the end. But it also made me a bit sad, because my re-watch is over now (hey, I could start at the beginning again!). *sniffles*
I have to say, this re-watch has been one of the best things I did. It really rekindled my love for the show and I think that I do like Duncan a lot better now than I did before. I mean, I never hated him or anything, but he was never my favorite character. But during that re-watch he really grew on me. And I started liking his real voice. Hehe!
Methos is still the best! He's the awesomest ever. (Although, that weird interview thing on the season 6 DVD was really strange. It was a mock interview with Methos. As much as I love Methos (and Peter Wingfield) I wasn't able to watch the whole thing through.)
The show as a whole really aged well. I mean, the visual effects are quite outdated and so are all the computers and cell phones used on the show (heh!), but the story is still great. There have been some amazing episodes. I liked that the show was so international! The moves between Canada and France! All the international actors! I think I never appreciated that fact before, but it's really great.
So, yeah, lots and lots of love!
Tomorrow morning I'm going to Munich for the weekend! I'm going to meet up with
mabiana,
saba1789,

(And maybe when I'm get back home on Sunday LJ will be back. *crosses fingers*)
