I base my fashion taste on what doesn't itch.

There are some troubling LJ news, which you can read about here, here, here, and probably a few more places. I'm not in a panic, but I'm a bit concerned and it made me think of what I'd do without LJ.

I mean, fandom would survive, it always does, and we'd find a place somewhere else, but it won't be quite the same. I like my little space here in LJ and fandom land where I have all of you and pretty much all my fandom needs in one place. I like having things in one place! I'd be pretty much lost without that.

But! I should stop thinking like that! Let's focus on other things. Like the fact that today the awesome Wolfgang Loitzl won his third ski jumping competition this year, which means that he won three of the four competitions in the 4 hills tournament, which means that he won the 4 hills tournament! Yay!

In addition to that he's the first Austrian winner of the 4 hills tournament in 9 years. And he's only the second ski jumper to get the maximum points of 20 from all five judges for his first jump today. Just awesome!

In work news: The lady boss sent me a text message this evening that she needs tomorrow off (she had a day off on Monday, today was a holiday). I can't tell you how much I hate short-notice things like that. I hate it when people call/send text messages the evening before or early in the morning that they need a day off. I realize that there can be unexpected things that mean you have to take a day off on short notice, but still, I can't help it. I find it quite... "unkollegial".

On that note, I should go to bed.
