Welcome to _belong, Mellie (I have to say I like that name).

Your application was a bit on the short side, but you’re definitely a Hufflepuff by a landslide. I definitely saw a few Gryffindor traits: you admit to being chivalrous, you love spending time at a karaoke bar, and you’d love to have a social career that you wouldn’t become bored of. Then I saw a few Ravenclaw traits pop out: you saw Dumbledore’s death had left many questions unanswered, you love how the Harry Potter series is a great escape from reality, you had a natural aptitude toward Chemistry, you value intelligence, and you realize that you’re creative.

As I said before, you’re definitely a Hufflepuff: You’re deeply involved in your religion and you were strong enough to become a born again Christian. In Goblet of Fire, you understood Ron’s behaviors toward Harry. Given the choice, you’d want to be the type of person who would sacrifice everything for those you care about. You state that you’re a hard worker and you love to make friends. In your application, you were able to realize that the Marauders behavior toward Snape was terrible and disrespectful. You’re the kind of person who is eager to help people, even if they feel that they don’t need it. Given the choice to make anything a horcrux, you’d choose you’re wedding ring because it’s greatly symbolic, your bible because it’s been a great escape, and your piano because you’re devoted to music. Out of all the things in the world to fear, you’re scared to see a loved one dead. If you had to, you’d put your life on the line to save a close friend. And, if you had to relive anything, you’d relive your wedding day because of all the emotions.

Finally, there was one answer of yours that made me want to put you into Hufflepuff:

“I have never been the sort of person that would judge another based on the colour of their skin or what sort of clothes they were wearing so I have no problem with Muggle-borns at all. As long as they treat me and everyone else with respect and courtesy, I would have not problem with them whatsoever. I value people who know when and how to just let loose and have fun. I love people that can make me laugh.”

So, I hope things go well with the rest of your sorting, and I hope to see you around sometime.

Angel .
