This ficlet was unexpected. It started as a half joking response to a comment on a previous fic. Then I realized I'd gone way over the comment space and would probably frighten the person I was replying to. So, into the journal, it goes.

When H finds out he's pregnant, there's gonna be shock, that he won't emerge from till after he and McCoy are quarantined on a quiet deck, in some ambassador's suite that's never been used.

They're not supposed to have visitors, but Chekov and Kirk sneak in to see them and the guards pretend they see nothing.

I imagine, at some point, after they've had growly, angry quarantine!sex, Jim says something innocuous, H takes offense, and throws Jim out of his quarantine bedroom, screaming "DOUCHEBAG!""Ah, H, baby, do you have to be so hormonal--" Jim suddenly runs out into the main room, because H throws an end table at him. Which Jim ducks

I love you. Will you marry me? I'll work so you can write me fantastic fic. I'll cook if I have to as long as you like vegetarian. I just love this. The little details like Jim calling H 'baby' and Bones counting the minutes until Chekov shows up. Fantastic.

I really have to write stuff. How am I supposed to do that when you keep writing such fantastic stuff that I have to read over and over? Btw, that's a rhetorical question. Don't stop, please. I'm begging you.

Jim seems like a "baby" kinda guy. Just like Bones is a "darlin'" guy, Chekov is a "sveetheart" guy. . . .

I won't stop, if you won't either. That McCoy/Chekov was fucking fantastic.
