It's looking like I can't write the request fic without touching on "Serenity".
I don't like writing post-death-of-characters-I-love. But I've got an idea to tie all the request fic together--possibly even the serenity_santa fic. But it requires post-Serenity chronology. Any time I try to write pre-Serenity, whether or not I do a master mash-up of the several fics, it falls flat, or feels contrived. It bears all the earmarks of a titanic struggle.
Damnit.
I'm gonna watch "Hell Comes To Frogtown", and hope the great God Roddy-Piper can bestow ideas through osmosis, or inspiration, or something.
