So bad news all around, then...

Oh, for frak's sake. UEFA's special heated balls strike again. Never mind that it's Liverpool yet again and everyone in the known universe is SO BORED with that tie, what happened to playing in a European competition in order to play teams that are actually from Europe? I feel so bad for all the fans who'd been hoping for a visit to Portugal or Spain or Germany, and now have to once again risk their lives, personal hygiene, and wallets in the wretched hive of scum and villainy that is Liverpool. I've seen pictures and heard stories from plenty of friends who've made the trip for previous clashes, and I'm positive that to a man they'd prefer the possibility of getting stabbed in someplace like Rome to setting foot in that hellhole again. The only positive thing I can say about this tie is that at least Mike Riley will not be able to officiate it, but when Lubos Michel is the alternative that's not really much of a comfort.

Elsewhere in the realm of major suckitude it seems that poor Bridgey has been ill and then picked up a hamstring injury in Aalborg last night. ;_; This is what happens when he doesn't have me to kiss it better get his massage from Bill Blood! I still can't help torturing myself by wondering if Wayne would have stayed had Chelsea had the sense to swap Scolari for Hiddink sooner.

And just to make sure the day ends on a sad note, tonight is the series finale of Battlestar Galactica. They have two hours to wrap up about 3273027 loose ends, and I have absolutely no clue how the frak they can possibly manage it. There better at least be some shirtless Helo to ease the pain or I will be attempting to throw myself out the nearest airlock...

Haha, appropriate music FTW!

shallow people have feelings too, champions league, telly, football, bridgey: the force is strong with this 1, chelsea
