I ♥ Stardust and District B-13 for two very different reasons. The former because of its whimsical, yet equally heartwarming fare (along with Robert DeNiro as one of the most effimate roles I have ever seen him in) and the latter just because it is a kick-ass movie of sorts.

\o/ I totally agree! I very nearly wet myself the first time I saw That Scene with Captain Shakespeare. De Niro must have had so much fun!

And B-13 does indeed kick beaucoup d'ass in many ways. You may be glad to know that Banlieue 14 is currently filming and due for release in 2009. W00t!

Are the outtakes and the making of the only bonus features on the American edition of B13? I figured the 'Parkour Vision' would be just on the UK version, since it's English traceurs talking about parkour, but is the half an hour long interview with Stephane Vigroux also exclusive to the UK? If so, you've been robbed ;-) It's brilliant - Stephane's walking and training around Lisses, talking about training with David, his injury, recovery, parkour in general. The best part is that Stephane's English, while quite good, is not perfect, so sometimes he says things that he probably doesn't mean (then again, maybe he does ;-) ). For example he describes his first meeting with David thusly: "I didn't know anything about sport and I saw him sweating and really hot and doing something I've never seen before. I was very impressed." ;-)

LOL, Stephane's description of seeing David the first time is pretty much exactly what went through my mind when I first watched B13! But, yeah, we only get the outtakes and making of features over here.

Also, I ship Leito and Damien so damn hard... They're amazing.

So, after read your post I really, REALLY want to buy the DVDs *-* I want to see the extras!

Are you still in the B13 fandom... ? There's a LJ Community and you're in, right? Or is it closed? Years ago, after I watched the first movie, I wrote a little Leito/Damien fic... in my language (spanish) tho. But I thought I was the only one, haha. I'm glad I was wrong ^^

Yes, I'm still a fan even though I haven't posted any fic in a while. There is the banlieue-13 community and it is open, so you should join and post your story! I bet more people understand Spanish than you think, and there's always google translate for everybody else.
