Funny old world, innit?
What a week. Commiserations to all the England and Scotland fans on the flist, although at least some of you can still be proud of your country and players. I feel your pain, but when it comes to England I'm not as disappointed as I could be and I'm hopeful that there may be some positive changes in the long run. I've been trying to look on the bright side, and a few things are making optimism a little easier, like so:
The Friday Five
1) I seem to be over the achy, wheezy, cough-until-you-literally-weep-and-gag Plague of D00m that tried to kill me last week.
2) I didn't have to work today.
3) I have pumpkin pie.
4) Steve McClaren was sacked, about 18 months too late. (And now I feel a rant coming on, so I reckon the whole England scenario deserves a post of its own in the near future.)
5) Real football starts again tomorrow, and not before time!
