He died last night at about half ten. I know i should be upset but really im just glad he isn't suffering any more.
I went over the hospital yesterday for a few hours and held his hand. He was completely out of it. I could hear what they call the 'death rattle', he was burning up as his body's thermostat had given up and there were other signs that i learned from watching Darren's Mam die, therefore i made the most of my visit as i knew he wouldnt last the night. I would've liked to have stayed until he passed but i have taken on the responsibility of looking after my brother until my Mam is back in a fit state to do so.
I've spent all today at my Nana's and i cant tell you how proud i am of my family. At one point today there were about 20 of us all crowded together in the kitchen all supporting one another through this horrible time. Thats what you need.
