The next four years are going to be absolutely hilarious.

I remembered to call my parents (who fall conveniently into the pay bracket that Obama's targeting) to thank them in advance for the tax credit -- that I don't have to do anything for except not advance my career -- that will be coming out of their pockets. The pockets that they spent YEARS working HARD to build up...and somehow a person who doesn't work as hard deserves a piece of that.

Makes perfect sense, as in none. Didn't anyone ever read The Little Red Hen as a child?

I'm not really upset or bitter...in all honestly I find it absolutely hilarious that people were stupid enough to buy into the tax credit gimmick Obama proposed in his campaign. Pretty much everyone my age that I've talked to is all hyped about this tax credit without thinking for a second about the repercussions it will have on the economy. However, that is a discussion for another day. What makes me giggle is the notion people actually believe that THIS is what is going to "fix" our country.

What makes me laugh outright is what is to come. I have my "I told you so's" ready and my "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain" bumper sticker on order. Seriously. If you want one, you can order them here.

And truth be told, I am filled with hope. Not for this joke of a "president", but what will happen in four years. Flip your history books back to 1981 and Google the Iran Hostage Crisis. We had a silly president four years prior to that and it took a badass Republican president to come in and REALLY clean up the mess. You can't argue with history.

Well...I'm sure plenty of people on my friends list will try to, hence the screened comments cause I just want to post my peace and be done with it without bickering over what is strictly MY opinion.

*EDIT* Random factoid: Which United States President holds the record for highest approval ratings EVER? The answer might surprise you....
