my boyfriend isn't dead and why i am teh l33t @ 5t4rw00d
so this morning colin had his long awaited surgery. the screws and plate that were put in his arm a few years ago were starting to become rejected by his body so he's been in pain for the last few months. the surgery was at 6am , so i was going to go visit him in the hospital before work, but i woke up late. he called me to tell me he was alright, which made me feel so much better. i knew he'd be fine, but there is always that unshakeable fear of 'what ifhe jst goes to sleep and doesn't wake up . .??' . hearing his vicadin induced, groggy mumbling on the phone on my way to work was the beginning of a string of awesome events.

so i went in to work at noon cause i'm a workaholic moron like that; i can never settle for a simple 40hr week, no; if overtime is offered, i take it. this week i am doing only 12 hours of OT. there have been weeks when i have done 25 hours of OT on top of my regular 40. it is worth it in the end, though, because i am making mad benjamins yo.

since i became a certified agent as well as an unofficial peer coach, i have earned the two bonuses as well as a raise to $10 an hour. the bonus incentive for this month is insane, for example; last month i made $464, bonus check alone; but already i am at the $600 mark and the month isn't even over yet, not to mention my regular check&&crappy$200 bonus. so yeah, i'm sick nasty at my job. and all i do is sit in front of a computer making hotel reservations.

second awesome event today: out of nowhere, while in the middle of a call, patricia the lady who makes the schedules, called me to the support desk. she told me that after reviewing my stats and given the fact that i became a certified agent 60 days on the floor ((very few agents become certified; let alone before 90 days)) i was offered an earlier shift, basically Starwood's version of a promotion without really changing positions. instead of working 3:30-midnight, i now work 10am-6:30. the weird part is that i never put the request in; i asked my PDL, adam, if the waitlist for an earlier shift was long and he said incredibly but that due to my stats and how i achieved them in incredible time, i was probably going to be offered the shift switch without needing to sign up.

so obviously i took it. tomorrow is my last midnight shift. working OT 12-3, then 3:30-12am. sleeping over colin's mom's house and again on friday and saturday.

ahhh fiddlesticks...my eyes hurt from being in front of 'puters all day, so i guess i'll finish this entry later. . .although i haven't gone over everything yet, suffice it to say that today has been awesome.
ta ta for now, eljay
