Yes, I have! (I love talking about the paranormal.) Now, I never actually SAW anything, because if I had I think I would have passed out, but I had one experience when I was in Ireland one summer that I can't explain and it really scared the crap out of me. I was visiting my then-boyfriend's family, and one night I was sitting in the kitchen with the Boy having a 2 am snack as I was suffering from jet lag and my sleeping pattern was all screwed up. Somehow the subject got onto ghosts, and he said that while his house wasn't haunted, his dad had a ghost story or two. He started telling me about how when his dad was a little boy he used to always wave hello to this old lady who lived up the street as he passed her house going to school, and she would wave back. Well, one day he waved at her just like usual and she spoke back, and he mentioned it to his mother. His mother looked shocked, and told him that the lady had died a day or two previously. Well, as the Boy was telling me this part, a plastic grocery sack that was in the garbage can right next to me started to crinkle up, as though someone were stepping on it. It kept going and going...and there was actually an indentation in it that looked like someone was pushed it down with their foot--except there was nobody else in the kitchen with us! I was so scared I started crying because I was afraid to get up and run, and even though the Boy was a skeptic, he just sat there staring. When the bag finally quit moving, we just looked at each other. He couldn't explain it either, and even though he would never admit it, I knew he was scared too.
