One tennis racquet he had bought earlier to play tennis with his ex-girlfriend because he didn't have access to his own (racquet that is). He had made sure to reattach all the cardboard bits to the racquet after he used it to make it look all new and shiny.
My own book, wrapped up, which he had lent to someone and lost months earlier.
