Ah, very belated birthday wishes, dear Anzu- I shipped off a surprise package to you right on time, but forgot to update in this journal. I have a little trouble connecting here. Cairo has very fast Internet thingamajigs but it was not all connected and working very well until this morning. I do hope you had a very nice birthday at the day itself, of course.
Quite a few things need to be taken care of and sorted out; I have been busy with the store, the house and all the paperwork around it. I do not like bureaucracy but unfortunately it is not to be avoided here; it is a good thing that I still know how to deal best with slow government and institutions.
The house looks fine, there is only a slight problem with the plumbing but that is about to be fixed very soon. It is really cool inside and Miw-sher is here again, trying to get re-acquainted and getting used to the change in her life again. She passed the quarantine without any troubles, fortunately.
I all but expect to run into Rishid Ishtar one day. It would be a pleasant surprise.
