"Ra-Ra-Rasputin, Russia's greatest love machine"

I've been up to a fair deal lately. Realised I hadn't posted on here for absolutely ages, although these days I have less cause to I suppose, plus I've always been of the opinion that the whole point of a journal concerning your feelings etc is to be private. On top of which, I normally just go on about stuff in an attempt to amuse myself and whoever is reading, and even comedy geniuses such as myself run out of ideas at times.

The two most prominent things I guess I've done lately are going to Reading and then going on holiday shortly after. The holiday was a very last minute kind of thing and we'd only arranged it around the start of august. Anyhoo, as for Reading, I had a pretty good time; all the bands I went to see were excellent and I had a great time with some of my friends. I also sadly realised while there that a certain individual who shall remain nameless is a total cunt. I've come to realise I probably wont see any of that particular group of friends much more at all anymore due to me living in Leicester on a more permanent basis, and they too in their respective cities etc. It's a shame, but also a drive to be more social back up in Leicester also. I also forgot that Vodka is evil shit and I really can't drink it without getting drunk far too easily. Other highlights included me successfully jumping a muddy stream in only my underwear while being cheered on by a massed crowd, and Jack's quest for a four/fivesome which very very nearly actually worked, much to the amusement of everyone. As for the bands specifically, Muse fucking ruled, Placebo were a bit disappointing I thought, and a special mention goes to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and their batshit lead singer, who for some reason kind of reminded me of Marie.

Shortly after returning I went off on holiday to Egypt.

I was really psyched about this, as Egypt had always been somewhere I'd wanted to visit. I had a great time, saw temples, monuments, tombs and worrying stuff about Pharoahs living for ages and being unusually youthful. I don't even watch Stargate but when standing in the Temple of Amun in Luxor at night while the columns etc were being eerily lit, I kept thinking I was going to get jumped by those 'Jaffa Kree!' bastards. Spent alot of time explaining stuff to my mum, and my brother and sister went out of their way to irritate me alot of the time, but it was an amazing holiday. Picked up some odds and ends too which can be put to use in decorating my room. Ancient Egypt is probably my favourite ancient civilisation and it was brilliant to get such a great insight into it. Didn't get to see the Pyramids and such as we were in Luxor, not Cairo, but we went on a trip to the Red Sea where I did some hardcore scuba in honour of the legend Steve Irwin. I've always said that whenever I go on holiday, something bad happens, and it looks like it still holds true. I wouldn't be surprised if at somepoint the government bans me from leaving the country from fear the world will end or something. He was a fucking legend though and it's a damn shame he's dead.

That's pretty much it really, I need to get in touch with people and sort house related things out for my return to Leicester. I don't update this thing much anymore but still feel free to give me a call/text anytime just to say hi. Later people.
