blockage!!
As of yesterday, I am blocked from lj at work, which was about the only time I read it (and randomly on the weekend if I'm home). I've been working there two
years and it suddenly became a problem. But they've been screwing
around doing wacky shit with our internet connections all this week,
which I think was actually just a front for new internet monitoring
services, more than likely.
here is what would have been my post
I realized a bit ago that it's been about, or over, a year since I've
bought an orchid.
Some orchid collector I am.
When I moved into 42 Kinnaird the natural light coming into the
apartment was less than satisfactory for growing plants so I decided
not to get any more til the terrarium was set up. A year and a half
later it still isn't set up. That's my new project of priority after
fixing up my room and unpacking the rest of the random crap that I still have in boxes. A couple weeks ago Obe-kitty got into the sewing room and decided my plants look tasty. Time to get a door-knob for the door.
So anyway, I now have Catasetum denticulatum. It's a miniature Brazilian species. The particular plant in question is a selfling of an awarded plant from Sunset Valley Orchids. Here's another picture.
