Bilbo had to have his molars on one side all pulled. I don't know what happened at the shelter but the teeth on one side were all in bad shape. However, he's already eating fine, and we got him to take his medicine okay. Tt did cost quite a lot, though, so I'm kind of miffed the shelter downplayed it (his medical form said "mild gingivitis."). Still, he's a totally sweet and cuddly cat (he has claws but he has never even tried to scratch one of us) and it's not his fault he has bad teeth.
