series update

Can I just say that the new season of Heroes SUCKS BIG TIME?! And to think it was such a promising tv show during it's first season... Tsk tsk. The second season was so-so, but I was hoping that the third would be better since I'm sure it wasn't the producers' fault that they had such a confusing and so-so second season due to the writers' strike. But yeah, it sucks. I mean, I can't even keep up on which character's from the future or if he's REALLY dead or not, before he starts appearing from every corner once more. Confusing, much?!

Pretty much the same thing that happened to Prison Break. Had a lovely first season, went a little downhill on the second, then totally lost their momentum for their third season. WTH. All that lovely male hotness, courtesy of that guy with the weird name...Wentworth Miller! There. See?! That's what happens when the succeeding seasons of your show keeps getting suckier and suckier, people forget your name. Can't hold on to the stupid momentum to save their freakin' asses.

It's just that Heroes was gone for almost a year (is that correct?!), and it's so hard to keep track on what happened before since (duh) you can't remember anymore due to the long hiatus. Pffft. Too bad, Heroes was such a nice tv show. Boo.

But not to worry, I found new shows to watch...Yipee!

Check out Burn Notice (yummy Jeffrey Donovan as Michael Weston), Privileged (fluffy tv show that's reminiscent of a Palm Beach version of Gossip Girl), and The Mentalist (another cop/psychic story line but with another hot specimen in the lead, Simon Baker aka Asshole in The Devil Wears Prada) - I'm really curious about this one, high hopes on this, I just finished downloading the first episode.

I'm sad that The Tudors won't be back till next year for their 3rd season. History, sex, scandal, manipulative aristocrats, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Henry Cavill...Not baaaaad. Speaking of shows that are back, I sure hope Grey's Anatomy has some better things up their sleeves since I'm not particularly liking the fact that the McDreamy/Grey *puke* couple's back. Way too much drama. Oh, and I still wish they'd kill, or at least write off, Izzy. Maybe this year the producers will grant my wish. As for Private Practice, I'm still rooting for it to have a better season than the first one. Admittedly, I only started watching it because it has my favorite Grey's character, Addison. Oh and that Tim Daly's pretty hot for an old guy.

Oh, and there's another one that some of you might be watching. Chef Markus recommended it, but I never really got the feel of the series. Mad Men. For Comm majors like me, it's an easy series to relate to, the advertising references and stuff. But it's set in the 60s era, which I'm sure none of my contemporaries can relate to. It's not that I don't understand it, I just can't relate to it. But hey, it won a few Emmys so I guess that has to count for something, right?

Anyway, Paul Potts (winner of Britain's Got Talent who sung Nessun dorma and made Simon Cowell crap in his pants-he's that good) is coming over here in the Philippines on October 7. Okay, so I'm a closet fan of opera and classical music, which means I really want to go and watch him. Trouble is, I can't find anyone to go with plus I haven't driven to PICC on my own (don't even know where that is exactly). Hai... Oh well.

BONFIRE NA 'TO!!! ONE BIG FIGHT! =D
