Hi World;

So much for this being the summer holidays aka. freedom to do anything with my time. Work allows for no such thing. Thankfully, CommunicAsia - the event we've been preparing for the past couple of months - ended on Friday! Hoorah.

Today I went out and bought myself a few well-deserved things. Like Malin+Goetz body scrub and a Swissbake chocolate strudel.

But my favourite purchase is the Griffin Clarifi iPhone case which enhances the phone's camera and allows it to take clearer macro shots. Check out the difference in photos with and without the Clarifi lens.

Nevermind that at S$69, it is already 10% of my paycheck. The Griffin case is quite a looker on its own, and coupled with the new 3.0 firmware, I'm a very happy iPhone user indeed!

The improvement in photo quality with the new 3.0 update is really amazing. Compare the shitty photo above with the one below.

(Photos are completely unedited. I wouldn't know how to edit them anyway. :D)

I took these shots while on the job at our Yahoo! booth. That's Dr Balakrishnan above, clearly trying to create an unconscious barrier between the speaker and himself with his folded arms and highly rigid posture (picked up from Lie To Me).
No, I'm kidding. I bet he loves the Yahoo! Mobile application they're introducing to him.

If you're wondering what the hell I'm doing at the Yahoo! booth (or you're getting irritated with the exclamations marks I've included behind every 'Yahoo'), it's because I'm interning at XPR - an agency which specialises in tech PR and digital communications. Brands like Yahoo! and LG Electronics are clients of this firm so all their public events are supported by our PR team. The exclamation mark is a requisite that's been drilled into me since working under this account. :(

The Yahoo! people are a fun bunch. We've visited their office and everyone wears jeans - everyday.

This is Sharon who was my supervisor at Yahoo!. I also help out with the LG account...

That's me trying to stay out of the way during a photo-bloggers meeting. LG basically gave the bloggers their latest handphones and had them review the units on their blogs for advertisement purposes.

All in all, I'm enjoying this internship immensely, but I've also come to appreciate evenings and weekends more since that is when I get to meet up with friends. Big love and thanks to those who've come down all the way to Clarke Quay for dinner! Especially Bran and Charm - I hope you guys liked the chicken soup ramen that I love so much.

Weiyan and Herngs - you guys gotta try it the next time we meet!

Random endnote:

A tender moment between Lao Ma Lee (Bran's great grandmother) and Mama Lee (grandmother) - 100 years old and 78 years old respectively. Whoaa...
