The lull before the storm;
I've been shopping quite a bit recently: sandals from Antipodean, a new pair of spectacles, and 3 packages from Revolve Clothing (nothing beats their free international shipping and awesome discounts!). I also hit the bazaar sale at Club 21 today. Didn't care much for anything until I came upon the shoe section - there I spotted the Dries Van Noten wedges I've been wanting since Spring 2007. They were sold out at Barneys NY when I checked last year so it was truly providence that I should find a pair in the colour I wanted (black), sized perfectly for me (UK 35) and heavily discounted too. Picked up a couple of other things along the way but those shoes were really the highlight.
I don't know how to account for this compulsion to shop except that it is my form of Prozac right now. Hanging out yesterday and today with Jo, Cheryl, Jan, Chow, Tanny and Weiyan have been helpful too, because I really just love sitting down in front of food and talking, sharing, laughing. At least we're all in this together, poor Singaporean students that we are.
To top off the past two days of my self-declared study break, I even got a haircut this evening! It's very pretty but high-maintenance, and I will probably end up neglecting my hair as usual in the days to come.
