Microsoft owned Rare has just announced development of Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo DS.

This will be the studio’s first foray into building for the DS and engineers promise the new racing game will take full advantage of the DS’s special features like the touch pad and Wi-Fi capabilities. The game will also allow a crazy number of player match-ups and players to create their own dream tracks.

No word yet on when it will be released.

(How Much Of An Afterthought Was The PS3 Controller?)
-Posted by sjohnson - Friday, May 12, 2006 9:18 AM

One of the big stories of this year's E3 was the announcment of motion sensors to the PS3 controller. According to many industry insiders and message board wags, the controller-change was a response to the buzz Nintendo generated with their innovative "wii-mote."

But how much of an afterthought was it? At a roundtable discussion at Sony's booth, the developers of PS3 title Warhawk said they received the controllers only 10 days before E3.

(The Catholic Church is Going to Flip)

Everyone’s favorite heretical Jesus mystery is being made into a video game!

The Da Vinci Code game, based on the novel of the same name, will be hitting PCs and consoles in May around the release of the movie.

Written at an eighth grade level by Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code follows some sort of mystery about the Catholic Church and a cover-up. . .something about Jesus being married? Or something? I think the Knights of Templar are in it? And stuff?

Brought to you by developers The Collective, the game will follow the same storyline and feature puzzles, riddles and stealth combat.

I’m going to rock this game so hard-Stealth Combat is my middle name.

(One Does Not Simply RPG Into Mordor!)

Turbine has finally announced beta sign-ups for the much anticipated Lord of The Rings Online RPG MMO. (ASAP, SCUBA, OPEC, RADAR, NASA!!!!)

Thankfully, the game is based on the books, not the movies so it will only have one ending, not four blackouts that trick you into thinking that the nightmare is over, only for there to be forty more minutes of Elijah Wood being totally fruity.

HOBBITS!
