Some things I've read associated with the philosophy of existentialism
"existence precedes essence: Unlike tools that are created to fulfill a purpose, Sartrean existentialism argues man exists without purpose, findes himself in a world and defines the meaning of his existence."

"Identities are constructed by the individual consciousness only: As an extension of the first tenet, the individual consciousness constructs a "self" or "identity" for itself. An "identity" can include beliefs, projects, and various other things of value."

"Values are subjective: Sarte accepts the premise that something is valuable because the individual consciousness chooses to value it. Sart denies there are any objective standards on which to base values"

"Condemned to be free: Because our actions and choices are ours and ours alone, we are condemned to be responsible for our free choices"

"Being in-itself are objects that are not free and cannot change its essence. Being for-itself are free: it does not need to be what it is and can change into what it is not (ex. consciousness)."

I think it's pretty interesting, I think I'll read more about it...maybe...

I think today will be pretty good, I've got some things planned- and, it's sunny which makes it all better. I got to see how the newspaper is planned and layed out yesterday, I really liked it.. that may be the job I go for next summer. It's a combination of meeting people, writing, taking pictures and planning.. sounds great to me lol
Even though it's summer, I'be been getting an average of 6 hours of sleep, which isn't too bad.. but it's summer. And I still manage to waste most of my time. I stay up till 3 painting or something, and then I have to get up to take TJ to work... but it's good. There arn't enough hours in a day, and I'm really going to miss all this free time when school starts back.

Please leave a comment telling me something uniquely creative to do that you've done or want to do... I'm running out of ways to entertain myself lol
