i graduate today.
and in twenty days, i'm pretty much out of here.. and not looking back.

high school has taught me that..

- life is not always easy. nor is it always as hard as we make it.
- grades are not everything & they say nothing about your character.
- people will always be two-faced.
- you have to work for what you have.
- ninetynine percent of the time, nothing is fair.
- sometimes you don't get what you want. and that's okay.
- you can't spend all your time worrying. fix it and move on.
- it's best to confront a problem head-on.
- you have to rebel sometimes in order to grow and learn.
- you should never ditch your friends because you'll eventually need them.
- trust is key in a friendship. if you don't have it, you don't have a friendship.
- people still don't know who they are or what they want.
- there are those few special people who exist in your life and they are invaluable.
- you have to take everything one day at a time.
- life goes on.

four years later, and it's all over. everyone says it goes by so fast, and maybe it really does, but i honestly can't tell. all i know is high school is over and i'm over it. i'm ready to cut a lot of 'friendships,' solidify the few true ones, and start college with my amazing new friends. :]

whoever said change wasn't good never lived my life.
peace.
