I lost a friend...

somewhere along in the bitterness

I just wrote a big ol' entry about really good friends and that they'll for sure no doubt be in my wedding one day when/if it happens.  But I decided it was to personal so I just left it  for me.

I wonder why we lose friends, I mean the friends Ive had in middle school and high school and in college are not the same.  Yet at some point in time in each group of friends we "were all gonna be in each others weddings"  We all make the promises, but why dont they last?

I know middle school and High school we haven't "found ourselves" and once we get to college we should have and then everything including a partner gets established.  But why dont those so called bestfriends last?  Whats happens?  Then what about the 1 or 2 people that actucally make it past the high school mark and make it past the college mark?  What makes them so special?

Then there are some people I really dont talk much to anymore but I know that no matter what they'll still be there for me?  Why is that?  What happens that make those bonds stronger?

Then I wonder why losing a friend doesnt seem as harsh as losing a boyfriend...I mean after all you open up and let them into your life.  My only guess is losing a friend is just a slow fade away process whereas losing a bf is harsh/sudden?  I dunno..this kinda sums up my entry a bit...
