i think my writing gets more and more abstract.

she'd send him red autumn leaves in white paper envelopes, but by the time he opened them, they were thin and dry and the stems would crack. it grew colder every year and her steps were quick to keep her warm and he laughed at her for wearing fuzzy scarves and jeans with ripped knees.

she'd send him red autumn leaves in white paper envelopes = oh my god, goosebumps. everywhere on my body.

and promised she was warm, but she wore hats inside = i wear hats inside all of the time (like right now). winter hats are my favorite.

i hope there's no truth to this. it hurts.

i actually came up with that first line while i was walking back from the conservatory one night, and there were these amazingly bright leaves everywhere, and it had just rained, so they were shiny and all the lights were reflecting off of them. i thought of that somehow and wanted to use it, so i wrote the rest of the piece from that idea.

winter hats are the best. i'm not so into hats in general, but i would wear winter hats from september to february.

i'm really not entirely sure where this came from . . . the only part that relates to me right now is the dreams. . i'm trying to shake that. <3. but otherwise. . .. no, luckily, i'm not in that situation, or anything like it.

phew, that's good to hear. i don't want any kind of pain like that.

that 'red autumn leaves in white paper envelopes' line still gets me. someone should now go take a picture of red leaves in an envelope. if i had any photography skills, i'd do it.

i actually was walking and saw a beautiful red leaf and stopped. . . i almost picked it up because i wanted to send it to someone . . . and then realized whoever got a leaf in the mail would probably think i was a little crazy.

it could be a really neat photography project . . . the light would be great, too, between the layers with the envelope, and the veins in the leaf and all . . .

you should've sent it to me. i probably would have fallen in love with you.

if you have the talent, do it. i surely don't. it would look cool as the back cover of a book or something.
