Man, I can't believe I haven't updated in awhile. Things have been so busy. After the Bael take down, which went really well, I started pulling some extra shifts at Siren's Lair because Rhia and Dylan were busy with holiday party planning. Okay, fine, maybe I also pulled the extra shifts to spend more time with Destiny, but the fact remains, I've been real busy.
The club has been packed every night. Pan being in town has made people seriously want to party. I keep catching sight of Larissa on the news too. She is constantly attending social functions with some Senator. I almost feel sorry for the guy, but he's a politician, so really, he could be more evil that Lar is. Preach is dating one of Larissa's old friends, Sabine. Pretty sure he knows she's a succubus and truth is, Sabine is a cool chick, doesn't get down into playing mind games like most succubi do. Besides, Preach strikes me as the type who can handle himself.
Uncle Mal finally surfaced. Heh. He was in Atlantic City. Got to love his sense of timing. Course, he surfaced just in time to get roped into attending the party that Rhia and Dylan are hosting at Rhia's house tonight. Dylan said buying gifts and stuff wasn't neccessary, but I couldn't just show up with nothing.
I went with gift cards to Itunes because Dylan said that he got ipods for most everyone. Shopping for Rhia was harder, but I figured with all those kids, a couple of spa gift certificates were in order. Got the same thing for Vin's new girl (does he call her his girlfriend yet because he is so freaking in to her) so they can probably go to the spa together. Besides, anyone who has to deal with my brother deserves a trip to the spa. Got uncle Mal a kickass bottle of finely aged scotch. I picked up a book on demonlogy (one of the rare texts) for Dylan and an Axe for Connor. Taylor was kind of hard. So many people are buying stuff for him, so I went with a year round pass to Disneyland. Figure he lives in California he should take advantage of it, right?
Des was harder. I wanted to get her something special, but not something that would freak her out since we're still in the getting to know each other stage. So I ended up getting her a few things. A leather jacket and a personalized helmet for when she is on the bike with me (Vin got me a new bike and gave it to me early) and a charm bracelet with a couple of charms. One is of a motorcycle, one is of a baseball bat (hopefully she sees the humor) and there is a charm of a bottle of champagne. It's cheesy, but I figure I can add charms that symbolize things we do with each other as time goes on.
I guess I better hurry up and get ready. Rhia will kill me if I'm late to this party.
