Packin' (heat)

I guess I should try and round up my stuff. I've decided to start with my clothes, putting them in my parents' room (not boxes, not yet, I can't do it). I thought it would be easy: I would keep out the "hot weather" clothes, but then it has to go and rain, and now I'm just very confused and indecisive. Aaaaagh.
Anyone who's already gone through this packing stage, what should I do next? Movies? Cookware? Art supplies?
