I hope she knows what she's doing...

I grabbed my bottle of Whiskey and poured some into my shot glass. "So, you're sure." I said handing the latest Slayer the glass. She declined. I had forgotten she was only seventeen. I sighed and sat across from her on the arm rest. "Because, this a huge responsibility." I said as I looked at the clock. Angelus had been gone for an hour now.

I stood up and returned the cap to the whiskey after taking a swig. I hoped she knew what she was doing. It was a lot of weight to carry on her shoulders. Knowing everything that happened this past year. But it wasn't my choice. I was only here to offer the choice to her. Keep the balance.

Ok, so this wasn't exactly balanced in evil's favor but, who cared. The Slayer's screwed up and about to run away, maybe forever. I can see it. Plus, this wasn't my idea. It was those pesky Powers. They had plans for Angel, they couldn't have him in hell.

I sighed for the fortieth time and then took her hand. "I love this song." I pulled her up and twirled her. "Let's dance." Reluctantly she sort of followed me.

"Now, you have to know the main..cosmic point to this is not necessarily to stop Angel from reverting to Angelus. If he does again, I won't step in. That's not the..focus per se." We two stepped and then I let go and grabbed my stone over the fireplace.

It was dark orange and had latin written on it. "Put this in your hand." I handed it to her. "I'll do the rest, if you want to." She seemed intent and I stepped back.

This was her choice. I had to repeat that over and over in my head as we were both hurtled back. Because it's the big moments...the question for her is, which big moment is it?
