Willow got my answer. It's a shame. But after, after we just talked, joked around and again I was seeing her in this whole other light. I got to them earlier than I had before. I saw Xander kiss Willow; Had that happened the first time? If it had why did they both end up with different people? I shook it off the second I saw the vampire appear beside them.
Willow looked at Xander with a worried expression and the vampire started to lunge at them. I casually walked up and caught him by the arm.
"You know snacking on my friends isn't a good way to welcome me back to town," I threw him against the half wall and he fell over it. I swooped over and plunged the stake into his heart. I threw the stake down.
Who would of thought a scene from 'The Witness' would makes things go for the less awkward more romantic type feeling. The ice cream cold yes but as Xander's tongue started licking it off I started to feel as though everything was heating. It was more than surprising and when he backed off for a moment I couldn't help but think that I accidentally turned him. I didn't mean to but as I stared in his eyes, He looked so cute. I tilted my head and halfway smile what he did next I far from expected. He leaned in, in his leany ways and suddenly our lips were touching. I started to put my hand on his head as the lip touching continued for a second I thought that maybe I was doing it wrong and when he pulled back I halfway expected him to just leave but instead he sort of pushed me out of the way while screaming my name

Wow Buffy had the best timing! Wait, no...not best. Worst...worst timing. After Willow and I and then she... Gah. I smiled and walked over to Buffy. "Buffster's back from L.A. I see." I said trying not to be awkward.
I walked over to Willow and glanced at her. Maybe it didn't mean anything to Willow. Maybe it was just a kiss. I sighed. "Great timing Buff!" But what I really meant to say was "Okay timing, a little shaky on the interruption." But of course me being Xander Harris I wouldn't say that.
Man, but she did save us from the vampire. We must've looked stupid. Attacked without a stake or cross but Buffy wasn't here, she didn't know we'd had an immense shortage...correction, lack of activity this Summer.
No, she was there with all the L.A. boys and probabally buying way too many pairs of shoes and clothing and God I was spinning. Maybe my feelings for Buffy were returning, the Willow kissage was just one kiss. I contemplated it as the two girls jabbered on.
I smiled at Willow's hug. I remember how easy going things had been when I first got back. I mean sure there was the master thing and the Angel thing but with them, with the two of them it had just been easy, or easier after I got over my little snarky bitch fest.
"When did you get back?"
"About a minute ago actually," I responded with as warm of a smile as I could muster. I couldn't start freaking out, not with them here right now, and not with what I know that's going to happen.
"Great timing Buff!"
I gave Xander a smile, "Lemme guess it's been all kinds of quiet since I left?"
Maybe I should feign some ignorance here but I just couldn't muster the strength to hide my bitteress, what I really wanted to do was run away and smash the master's bones into dust, run find Angel and kiss him to make sure everything is real and he's not evil. Or in hell.
But that could make things so much worse, no matter how much better it would make my heart feel.
